The problem
An old maple stump had rotted at the center but the outer shell and roots were still solid, leaving a soft, uneven spot in the front lawn.
What we did
We ground the stump flush and chased the surface roots that were lifting the turf, keeping the cut low enough for new sod and topsoil.
The result
The area was level and ready for seed within the week, with the grindings raked out and the surrounding lawn left clean.
